DSP Courses
To ensure high quality courses covering a full spectrum of material foundational to a clear biblical understanding of ministry, the Commission on Ministry and Doctrine appointed distinguished Brethren in Christ pastors, college professors and seminary professors to serve on the Equipping for Ministry Team.
This team, each distinguished and proven in his or her field, developed the well-rounded curriculum for the Directed Study Program. The team appointed the syllabi writers and faculty, and the Equipping for Ministry Team will continue to provide oversight as the Directed Study Program works to meet the needs of its students and the Brethren in Christ church.
To shape and support pastors in the biblical convictions that are at the heart of our life and work as a church, the Directed Study Program offers a full range of courses in Bible, Theology, Church History, and Ministry. These courses are designed to be flexible, relational, and affordable. To be accessible to the greatest number of participants, these non-credit courses are available on-line.
Successful completion of ten required courses along with two elective courses chosen by the student meets the academic requirements for ordination.
