Rick Snyder welcomed as chief executive officer of BIC Foundation
Mechanicsburg, Pa. (March 24, 2015)—National director, Alan Robinson, and the Brethren in Christ Foundation board of directors are pleased to welcome Rick Snyder as chief executive officer of the BIC Foundation, succeeding Elvin Peifer who retired in 2014 after 16 years of faithful and successful service.
A 1987 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Rick holds a B.B.A. in professional accountancy and finance. After graduation, he started a 27-year career based in Harrisburg, Pa. with AMP Incorporated which later became TE Connectivity, a $14 billion international manufacturing company. During Rick’s tenure, he held a broad range of accounting and finance positions. Rick culminated his career by leading a global shared services organization with employees in 9 countries. He was responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of global business analysis and financial processes, as well as leading the organization’s lean process improvement efforts.
Rick and his wife, Ruth-Ann, live in Boiling Springs, Pa. and are members of the Carlisle (Pa.) Brethren in Christ Church. Rick has served in the church’s worship ministry and on the board of directors. Rick also has a passion for creating space for non-reached people.
“We are called to go, and make disciples,” Rick shares. “This includes both far off places and within our own communities. ‘. . . Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. . . .’ (Luke 15:4–6). I am excited about the possibilities of this powerful ministry within the BIC where individuals and organizations are directly helping our churches make room for people who are unreached, right here, in our own communities.”
