Search Begins for Executive Director of Brethren in Christ World Missions

Brethren in Christ World Missions (BICWM) has been operating for just over one year without an executive director. During this time, an interim leadership team has given overall leadership and direction to the organization. Alongside this interim team, a task force was established to provide structure and leadership recommendations for the future of BICWM. They have met a number of times in recent months to complete a list of recommendations for the department.

At their meeting in April, the task force recommended beginning the search for a new executive director of BICWM, who will work closely with a team of leaders in continuing the department’s work. In June, the Board for World Missions met and affirmed the task force’s recommendation. It was submitted to General Conference Board (GCB), who voted unanimously in favor of commencing the search. Alan Robinson, national director, will form the search committee and chair the process, which is expected to take about 6–12 months.

More information will be passed along as soon as it becomes available. You can learn more about the task force or view the meeting summaries by clicking here.
