Addressing AIDS in Zambia
Ginwell Yooma speaks out

With an estimated 98,000 deaths from AIDS last year, the nation of Zambia is battling against the epidemic that has left more than 710,000 children without parents, and in the coming years will orphan many more.
In a recent interview Ginwell Yooma, coordinator of the HIV/AIDS program for the Brethren in Christ Church in Zambia, spoke with MCC staff member, Mark Beach at the XVI AIDS Conference that was held August 10–18 in Toronto, Ontario. In a country where 40 percent of medical care is provided or sponsored by the Church, he calls for greater awareness and advocacy on the part of believers. Listen>>
