June meetings provide health insurance rate quotes
During the first week in June, Pastor Doug Sider, Jr. will set out on a whirlwind tour of the US conferences with the latest word on efforts to re-introduce a denomination-sponsored health insurance plan to BIC congregations. Whether or not a church is eligible to participate in the initial offering of the health plan, its delegates will vote on the recommendation, so all churches are urged to take advantage of this opportunity for discussion and/or questions.
Rate quotes for churches that are eligible to participate in the plan AND from which we receive a proposal request form by no later than May 19 (the form is enclosed) will be distributed during the regional report meetings. Representatives from Mennonite Mutual Aid, the company to which the denomination has outsourced administration of the health plan, will also be available during General Conference to answer questions and review benefits and costs.
