Religious leaders travel to Iran to defuse tensions with U.S.

Iran delgation groupOn Saturday, 13 religious leaders from the U.S. traveled to Iran in hopes of deepening dialogue between religious and political leaders there, in hope of defusing tensions between the U.S. and Iran. The delegation is being coordinated by Mennonite Central Committee and the American Friends Service Committee. Members represent Mennonite, Quaker, Episcopal, Catholic and United Methodist churches, as well as several ecumenical Christian organizations.
