An additional 40% of work time is spent ministering in the fifteen ministries of the Pastoral Ministries Department such as hospital visitation, resident care planning and counseling residents and staff.  Candidate must enjoy variety and working in a fast paced environment.

Senior Pastor

Location: Redland Valley Church, Lewisberry, Pennsylvania
Status: Full-time
Contact: Craig Sider

Lewisberry is a growing rural/suburban community located halfway between the cities of York and Harrisburg.

The church is well established in the community and supports a wide variety of ministries and missions, relying on a high degree of member participation and involvement.  We have enjoyed steady growth for the last several years, and seek to continue that through community outreach and appealing to the unsaved.

Programming includes Wednesday night children, youth and adult classes, a full range of Sunday school classes, two worship services (one blended, one contemporary/casual), and small groups meeting throughout the week.  There is also a wide range of ministries/activities that meet as scheduled.  Within the community, Redland is particularly noted for its vibrant Youth program and the large number of friendships that exist beyond church activities.  Sunday attendance averages 150 – 180 between the two services.

In addition to the Senior Pastor, staffing includes a part-time Associate Pastor, a part-time Office Manager, and janitorial staff.  Governance is provided by a Church Board and a team of lay Elders.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic preacher who can appeal to the churched and unchurched alike.  He or she must be able to articulate relevant topics in an engaging way that is clearly grounded in scripture.  The candidate will also have a strong heart for leading the church in community outreach efforts.  The preferred management style should be one of helping to set a vision, determine specific goals, and then support ministry leaders and congregants with moving forward.  We prefer graduation from seminary; however we will consider a comparable combination of relevant experience and training.  We are particularly interested in experience with shepherding young families into the church, as that has been our area of greatest growth in recent years.

A parsonage is available in lieu of a housing allowance.

Interested applicants should provide a resume to Craig Sider.
