From our earliest years as a community of churches, we Brethren in Christ have been a praying people. We declare in our Core Values that deep intimacy with our Lord is found in living prayerfully. Prayer is God’s way of changing us and creating in us a life which is transformed and Christ-like. It is in the process of praying that we meet God and open ourselves to the Holy Spirit’s leading us to imitate Jesus Christ.

That’s why every congregation and every person who identifies with the Brethren in Christ Church is encouraged to make prayer foundational to everything they are and do. The resources, materials, and prayer opportunities included in this section of the website are here to help make that happen.
