National Leadership Development

#1505

Annual Budget: $2,000
(effective January 1, 2019)

Remaining Need: $1,500
(as of April 30, 2019)

It would be a healthy evolution for the Mozambican church to progress from the "Planting" stage to the "Parenting" stage. Planting by expatriate missionaries from Malawi has been going on for approximately ten years and now there is a need for the national leaders to develop, grow and mature. We need to develop these national leaders and help them create a viable church communication system.

Presently there are over 120 churches throughout Mozambique.  Many are separated by 2-3 days travel one-way due to poor roads.  Communications is difficult because of a lack of electricity, computers, phones with email, and limited money to pay for air time.  Further, a national mail system does not exist.

Congregations are separated by days of travel. The lack of communications between the leaders and pastors throughout the areas of Mozambique is a significant hindrance to unity.
